Robert Lester

1934 — 2016

Robert Lester, 82, of Fort Gay, WV passed away Friday, September 2, 2016 at his home. 

Mr. Lester was born January 19, 1934 in Garten, WV. to the late John C. and Opal (Newcomb) Lester.  Along with his parents he was preceded in death by two daughters, Angela Doxtator and Teresa Kay Lester, and one step sister, Jewell Williamson.    

He is survived by his wife, Kay Frances (Dean) Lester and two daughters, Donna Fannin of Louisa, KY and Kim Northrup and husband Wayne of Fort Gay, WV, and five grandchildren and one great grandson. 

He served in the Marine Corps during the Korean War.  He was also a Plant Manager for several envelope companies.  

The funeral services will be held at 1pm on Tuesday, September 6 at Wilson Funeral Home with Rev. Denny Brown and Rev. Mack Ray Cyrus officiating.  Burial will follow in Dean Cemetery on Tabors Creek in Fort Gay, WV.

Friends may visit the family on Tuesday, September 6 from 11am until the time of service. 

Care has been entrusted to Wilson Funeral Home, Louisa, KY.
