RISEabove wk 5 - Scott Robinson, Daniel Ward, Week 4 player of the week Paul Maynard, and Derek Hinkle

Week 5 organizers comments

“…Tale of the Tape – The game of the week between two of the undefeated teams was no let down. Robert Dalton poured in 28 points and grabbed 7 boards but JJ James had an answer for every bucket. JJ shot lights out and even though we don’t keep up with FG %, none of us remember him missing more than one shot. He finished with 24 points and 4 rebounds and his team, Dawg Pound, pulled out the 8 point win.

Keary Ratcliffe had his best game of the season and it took every bit of it for 50 Shades of Gray (1-3) to beat the (3-1) Bank $hots. Looks like free throws really hurt Bank $hots in this game as they shot 6/17 from the line for 35%. Keary ended up with 22 points, 5 rebounds, 5 assists, and 2 steals, enough to earn him the player of the week award. The first vote ended in a tie between Keary and JJ, but the randomly selected tie-breaker vote gave the nod to Keary.

Jacob Copley turned into Dikembe Mutombo this week with 4 blocks as his team Twin City Bucks won by 34. Average Joes finally broke the ice with its first win over the Mighty Hawks. We had our first overtime game this week between the Rec Center Ballers and Triple Threat. Coty Johnson led Triple Threat to their win with 14 points and 10 rebounds.

Thanks,

Matt Brown and Derek Hinkle
