RISEABOVE BASKETBALL LEAGUE — WEEK 4

Week 4 and the halfway point of the season continued to show why we are doing what we are doing. Great sportsmanship, friendships, and just a fun atmosphere to be in.

The best game of the week was the first game between Forfeit and 50 Shades of Gray Hair. Forfeit sped out to an early lead to end the half up 43-22. Michael Smith scored a team high 18 first half points and finished with 28. 50 Shades wasn’t done and Adam Brown caught fire. He hit 6 back to back 3’s and 7 total for the 2^nd half bringing his team to within 3 points. He finished the day with 23 points. But it was Paul “The Grinder” Maynard who was there to make sure Forfeit pulled out the win. Paul had 19 points and 20 rebounds and that performance was good enough to earn him player of the week honors.

Cody Prince had a great day of shooting with 25 points. Austin Chaffins put on his best Gary Payton impression with 6 steals and 10 assists.

Paul Maynard – The Grinder had 19 points, 20 rebounds, and 2 blocks to lead Team Forfeit past 50 Shades of Gray Hair. Paul has impeccable timing when cleaning those boards and will grind it out with anyone. Great performance from a great player who has averaged 18.5 points and 18.5 rebounds over the last 2 weeks.
