RISEABOVE BASKETBALL LEAGUE STARTS SATURDAY

RISEabove is excited to announce the 2nd Annual RISEabove Adult Basketball League.

First week games begin at 9am, this Saturday, January 7th at the Louisa East Elementary School at 235 Powhatan St, Louisa, KY 41230. The league is comprised of 12 teams with 10 players on each team. Games will be played every Saturday throughout January and February. Each week, first game will begin at 9am, last game will begin at 2pm (6 games total per week). League will have 8 regular season games and a 2 week playoff, culminating with an All-Star Weekend Event. Each week, the results of the games and individual statistics will run in the Levisa Lazer. 

RISEabove is a local, non-profit community action organization committed to providing safe, clean activities for the people of our region. In 2016, RISEabove coordinated in the donation of over $32,000. This donated money and other resources went to various places such as families battling cancer, RISEabove-hunger (monthly community lunches and local backpack programs), families in crisis, homeless shelters, addiction treatment facilities, and the newly renovated LockView Park.
