Richard Jay Cochran, Jr., 58, of Ashland, KY, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, October 30, 2021.

Richard was born July 20, 1963 in Louisa, KY to Richard Jay and Betty Gay (Vanhorn) Cochran. Richard was of the Pentecostal faith.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife Mary Cochran; children Richard Jay (Kayla Patrick) Cochran III and Stacy Leann Cochran; grandchildren Braylen Cochran, Aliyah Cochran, Carson Roberts and Emily Roberts; siblings Bonnie (Larry) Moon, Linda Johnson, Jean Childers, and Mary (Epifanio) Gudino; several nieces and nephews; and his special beloved cat “Little Kitty”.

Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, November 3, 2021 at 11:00 AM at the Young Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Tommy “Roy” Adams officiating. Burial will follow in the Cochran Family Cemetery, Fallsburg, KY.

Friends may visit the family on Tuesday, November 2, 2021 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Young Funeral Home.

Young Funeral Home has been entrusted with the care of Mr. Cochran and his family.
