LAWRENCE COUNTY ARREST LIST – MARCH 19-28, 2018

REGIONAL JAIL INMATES PACKED IN LIKE SARDINES

On Wednesday, March 28, at 8 P.M., the number of inmates being incarcerated at the Big Sandy Regional Detention Center in Paintsville was at an all time high, with a total of 337 prisoners.

The BSRDC facility designated maximum capacity is for 225 prisoners. That means the jail is at 50% percent over capacity. And the numbers will likely increase through the next few days.

To give a comparison, the Pike County Detention center in Pikeville at the very same time at 8:00 P.M.-03/28/2018 had a total of 355 inmates booked, and the PCD jail facility’s designated maximum capacity is for 400 prisoners.

A total of 15 people were taken in custody in Lawrence County between March 19 thru March 28. Another 3 Lawrence County residents were arrested in neighboring counties ( 1 Morgan County, 1 in Martin County, and 1 in Johnson County).

The names and criminal charges of the latest Lawrence County arrests are the following:

Nequa N. BrownNequa N. Brown, 20, of Blaine, Kentucky; was arrested on March 20, 2018, at 10:53 A.M., by trooper Jim Ryland of the Kentucky State Police, and was charged with: • VIOLATION OF A KENTUCKY EPO/DVO.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Joey MillsJoey Mills, 65, of Louisa, Kentucky, was taken into custody and booked on March 21, 2018, at 10:11 A.M., in the Lawrence County Court, by the Lawrence County Sheriff Department, to serve a guilty plea jail sentence: • CONTEMPT OF COURT LIBEL/SLANDER RESISTANCE TO ORDER.

 

 

 

 

 

Michael L. MaynardMichael L. Maynard, 36, of Louisa, was arrested on March 21, 2018, at 11:09 P.M., by deputy Mack Wilhite of the Lawrence County Sheriff Department, and was charged with: • CRIMINAL TRESPASSING-2ND DEGREE, • FLEEING OR EVADING POLICE, 2ND DEGREE (ON FOOT), • UNLAWFUL TRANSACTION W/MINOR 3RD DEGREE.

 

 

 

 

 

Scott A. JackScott A. Jack, 51, of Louisa, was arrested on March 22, 2018, at 6:49 P.M., by a deputy of the Lawrence County Sheriff Department, and was charged with: • OPERATING MOTOR VEHICLE UNDER/INFLUENCE ALCOHOL/DRUGS/ETC. .08 – 1ST OFFENSE.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Christopher RatliffChristopher Ratliff, 36, of Louisa, was arrested on March 22, 2018, at 8:42 P.M., by patrolman officer Hunter James of the Louisa Police Department, and was charged with: • THEFT BY UNLAWFUL TAKING OR DISPOSITION SHOPLIFTING UNDER/$500.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Rodney K. RobertsonRodney K. Robertson, 40, of Fort Gay, West Virginia; was arrested on March 13, 2018, at 1:04 P.M., by a deputy of the Lawrence County Sheriff Department, and was charged with: • FLAGRANT NON SUPPORT.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Alisha N. WhittAlisha N. Whitt, 33, of Louisa, Kentucky, was taken into custody and booked on March 23, 2018, at 2:46 P.M., in the Lawrence County Court, by the Lawrence County Sheriff Department, to serve a guilty plea jail sentence: • CONTEMPT OF COURT LIBEL/SLANDER RESISTANCE TO ORDER.

William R. WestWilliam R. West, 32, of Louisa, was arrested on March 24, 2018, at 4:46 P.M., by trooper Daniel G. Vossmer of the Kentucky State Police, and was charged with: • NON-PAYMENT OF FINES, • FUGITIVE FROM ANOTHER STATE – WARRANT REQUIRED

 

 

 

 

 

 

Constance EvansConstance Evans, 42, of Blaine, Kentucky; was arrested on March 26, 2018, at 4:51 A.M., by a deputy of the Lawrence County Sheriff Department, and was charged with: • ASSAULT, 4TH DEGREE (DOMESTIC VIOLENCE) NO VISIBLE INJURY.
