REBELS OPEN HOME SLATE WITH WIN OVER AMBASSADOR CHRISTIAN

Fort Gay, W. Va. —  Tolsia evened their record at 3-3 with a 8-1 victory over Ambassador Christian (2-3) Tuesday night in the Rebels home opener.Junior pitcher Austin Bailey picked up the home victory over ACA Tuesday.

Tolsia Junior Austin Bailey went six innings to pick up the victory. Bailey only allowed a first inning run on a bases loaded walk, Senior Kyler Speer pitched the seventh to close out the victory.

Blake Conn had 2 hits, Eric Williams had an RBI sacrifice fly, Cole Perry, Jared Switzer and Bailey scored a run, Ray Perkins had a single.

Even though the weather hasn’t been very good so far the Rebels have played decent baseball.

Tolsia has beaten Teays Valley Christian 15-3, Hannan 23-3 and last nights win. The Rebels lost to a good East Carter team 10-2, #3 Williamstown 8-2 after leading 2-1 going to the bottom of the sixth and at Ironton St. Joe 4-3 in extra innings this past Saturday.

Williams has hit home runs from both sides of the plate so far, Switzer is off to a good start at the plate as well.

Weather permitting Tolsia will travel to Lincoln Co. on Thursday and Oak Hill on Saturday before hosting Mingo Central on Monday.
