Cross Lanes, W. Va. — Tolsia ( 3-3 ) battled back from a 26 point second half deficit but came up short in a 69-62 defeat to Cross Lanes Christian ( 5-2 ) Friday night on the road.
The Rebels only made 2 field goals the entire first half and only scored 14 points to trail 32-14 at halftime.
In the second half Tolsia cut the lead to 6 points and a couple different occasions but couldn’t get any closer.
Jesse Muncy was the leading scorer with 26 points Tyler Johnson chipped in with 16 points, Anthony Lovins 8 points, Rob Cantrell 7 points and Austin Salmons 5 points.
Tolsia hit 6 three pointers two each from Muncy, Johnson and Lovins. They went 16-23 from the line.

Beth Haven Christian 73 Tolsia 61(Thursday )
The Rebels traveled to Chapmanville High School for the Country Roads Holiday Invitational Tournament and fell 73-61 to Beth Haven Christian ( 4-2 ).
Tolsia jumped out to a 19-5 lead late in the first quarter before the Hornets staged the comeback.
Jesse Muncy led the Rebels with 23 points, Rob Cantrell tallied 10 points, Tyler Johnson chipped in with 9 points, Austin Salmons 7 points, Steven Ward 4 points, Anthony Lovins and Dylan Dawson 3 points each and Blake Sturgell 2 points.

Tolsia will be off until Friday January 3rd when they travel to heated rival Tug Valley and then Home January 4th vs St. Mary’s.

“… Not a good effort at all the first half vs Cross Lanes Christian. Hard to win when you only make two shots from the field. The fourth quarter was a lot better on both ends of the floor. That is the kind of effort we need for the entire game.”
“… We don’t play again until January so the next few weeks will be interesting in practice. Hopefully we will be fully healthy with our entire roster ready to contribute and do the little things to win.”
