Circuit Judge John D. Preston had a full plate this week with a docket including:

 

Kenneth Bolick, was sentenced to (2 years to serve) on COMPLICITY FALSE STATEMENT FOR PRESCRIPTION and PERSISTENT FELONY OFFENDER was dismissed.

 

Gary H. CochranGary Haven Mills Cochran, was present for a evidentiary on the charges of THEFT BY UNLAWFUL TAKING OVER $500 and PERSISTENT FELONY OFFENDER. Noted on The case is that the defendant is competent to represent himself if he so chooses.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 Kelly K. CollinsKelly K.Collins, was present on the charge TRAFFICKING IN A CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE, 1st degree. A trial date was set for February 5, 2018 with a report date of December 22, 2017.

On a separate case the defendant was present for PROBATION VIOLATION FOR FELONY OFFENSE, A hearing was held with a witness Billy Slone from P&P, the pre-trial diversion was set aside and sentencing will be held on August 30, 2017.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Broderick Cyrus, was present on COMPLICITY TO MANUFACTURE METHAMPHETAMINE, 1st offense and COMPLICITY RECEIVING STOLEN PROPERTY (firearm) a trial date was set for February 14, 2018 with a report date of 12-22-17.

 

 

 

Marissa D. DossMarissa Doss, was present for a status hearing on 1st DEGREE POSSESSION OF CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE, COCAINE, 1st offense, POSSESSION OF DRUG PARAPHERNALIA AND POSSESSION OF MARIJUANA. TONY SKEENS TO SEND AN ORDER ABOUT REHAB.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

LIBERTY S. DRINKARDLIBERTY DRINKARD, was on the docket for FLAGRANT NON SUPPORT, PERSISTENT FELONY OFFENDER, 2nd degree. The defendant was not present and a bench warrant was issued.

 

 

 

 

 

 

James E. Fitzpatrick, was present for a motion to revoke probation. A hearing was set for 8-30-17.

 

 

 

 

 

Amy HodgeAmy Hodge, pled guilty and will be final sentenced on 9-8-17 on charges of COMPLICITY TRAFFICKING IN A CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE, 1st offense (5 years) and PROMOTING CONTRABAND, 1st OFFENSE (5 years consecutive with supervised probation with other conditions).

 

 

 

 

 

 

Joan C. KimbleJoann Kimble, was sentenced to 1 year on COMPLICITY 1st DEGREE POSSESSION OF A CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE, DRUG UNSPECIFIED, sentenced to 12 months on COMPLICITY POSSESSION OF A CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE, 3rd degree, sentence to 30 days on COMPLICITY POSSESSION OF MARIJUANA, AND 12 months concurrent on COMPLICITY TO POSSESS DRUG PARAPHERNALIA.

 

 

 

Travis E. LayTravis Lay, was present on charges of, POSSESSION OF A CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE, 2nd or greater offense, OPERATING A MOTOR VEHICLE UNDER THE INFLUENCE OF ALCOHOL/DRUGS, POSSESSION OF DRUG PARAPHERNALIA, FAILURE TO WEAR SEAT-BELTS AND NO OPERATORS LICENSE.

A hearing is set for August 30, 2017.

 

 

 

 

Alisha MartinAlisha Martin, was arraigned on the charge of POSSESSION OF A CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE, 2nd OFFENSE (methamphetamine). Pre-trial was set for 9-8-17.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Bradley E. ParsleyBradley Parsley, was present for the charges of FLAGRANT NON SUPPORT (resolved) and arraigned on 1st DEGREE POSSESSION OF A CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE (cocaine), 1st offense. A public defender was appointed the defendant is to be evaluated for home incarceration and pre-trial set for 9-8-17.

 

 

 

 

 

Green RameyWilliam Green Ramey, The defendant pled guilty he and was sentenced to 5 years probation, to serve 365 days in county jail to run consecutive with other cases on COMPLICITY THEFT BY UNLAWFUL TAKING, (with other cases to consider, sentenced to 10 years to serve). The defendant pled guilty and was sentenced to 5 years on COMPLICITY BURGLARY , 3rd degree, and 5 years concurrent on COMPLICITY THEFT BY UNLAWFUL TAKING OVER $500, 5 years probation on COMPLICITY RECEIVING STOLEN PROPERTY, AND 5 years probation and consecutive to other cases on THEFT BY UNLAWFUL TAKING OVER $500. Final sentencing to be held on 9-8-17.

 

Michael Ratliff, was present for sentencing but the case was reset for August 30, 2017 on charges of CRIMINAL POSSESSION OF A FORGED INSTRUMENT, 2nd degree and PERSISTENT FELONY OFFENDER, 1st degree.

 

Joe Roberts, Pled guilty and was sentenced to 3 years on FLAGRANT NON SUPPORT and the PERSISTENT FELONY OFFENDER enhanced the three years to 10 years with probation supervised over five years with other conditions.

 

Jason M. SalyerJason Salyer, was sentenced to 5 years with a diversion and supervised probation on the charge of BURGLARY, 1st degree.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Kayla Salyers, was present for a motion to revoke felony probation. A hearing set for August 30, 2017.

 

 

 

William Savage, was arraigned on COMPLICITY FALSE STATEMENT FOR PRESCRIPTION. Pretrial to be held on September 8, 2017. A public defender was appointed and bond is set for an in-home incarceration evaluation.

 

 

 

 

 

13. Amanda ThomasAmanda Thomas, Pled guilty and was sentenced to 3 years for TRAFFICKING IN A CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE, METHAMPHETAMINE, 3 years for 1st DEGREE POSSESSION OF HEROIN, 1st offense and 12 months concurrent for POSSESSION OF DRUG PARAPHERNALIA.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Jason Vanatter, Pled guilty and was sentenced to 3 years for BURGLARY, 3rd degree and 3 years concurrent to each other (5 years probation) but consecutive to Boyd Co. case. Persistent Felony Offender was dismissed.

 

Shannon Jude, was present in court for a motion to reduce bond. Motion was denied.

 

Crystal Wheeler, was present for a bond decision. The defendant to be released from jail with time served. Charges were not noted on docket.

 

Eric Nolan, was present for a hearing on the charge of ASSAULT, 1st DEGREE. The hearing had a witness, Bob Crum, the court finds he is competent to testify at trial. Status hearing set for 9-13-17.
