Kyle Hampton, 20, from Prichard, West Virginia throwing up a heel clicker over the finish line in Huntington arena cross finishing in 3rd place with some style! Hampton, whose parents are both deceased says he rides for them each time out...

The Action Sports Arena Motocross Championship plays host to thousands of motocross race fans and hundreds of amateur competitors beginning at 5 years old on 50cc mini bikes and an even more talented group of professional riders. Many of our past riders including National Supercross and Motocross Champions have achieved national stardom after competing in Action Sports events; could you be the next?

Twelve hundred cubic yards of dirt will be used to construct the race track. Double, triple and tabletop jumps along with whoop de doos or rockers will keep the riders flying through the air and battling bar to bar all weekend long.

The pits open for rider registration Friday and Saturday morning at 8 AM. Practice begins at 10 AM. Pro practice at 2:00 PM. Opening ceremonies at 7:00 PM. Racing usually lasts 2-1/2 to 3 hours. Pit passes for mechanics and family members are $20 per day. (Registered riders do not need a pit pass.) Pit passes allow all day access to the arena, grand stands and pit area. For your convenience a section of grandstands nearest the pit area will be reserved for pit pass holders, however you will be able to sit in any available general admission seat.

After pro practice the entire building, including the pits will be cleared. The building will reopen to riders and those with pit passes at 6:15 PM Friday and Saturday night. The building will close 1/2 hour after the event. Riders may leave their bike in the arena pits over night at their own risk.

Ticket holders this year have two options; general admission seating, or ring side seating closer to the track for $5 more. Tickets are available in advance at ticketmaster.com, charge by phone at 1-800-745-3000. Advance and day of show tickets are available at the arena box office with no additional fees (BEST DEAL). Ticket holders are not permitted in the pits at any time and are not admitted into the arena until 6:00 PM Friday and Saturday night, when the spectator doors open.

The Action Sports Arena Motocross Series began in 1984 and grew into a 15 round series through 1999 in Ohio, West Virginia and Kentucky. Our goal is to produce rider friendly, top quality events where youth, amateur and professional riders can compete in front of thousands of spectators and their families.
