Late notice kept some of us away. We aren’t eligible for most Other food services such as the food bank and church give always because we’r”over income” though $800 of our income goes for medical insurance that most of these people already get free through Medicaid and Snap. Somethings not right here.

Next time can someone announce this before instead of after?!

The people that need things the most never get it.

Please note that there are three food banks in Lawrence County that are available for people that need assistance. You can sign up for one of these 3 food banks depending on where you live in the county. For the Blaine area, you have the Lawrence County Food Bank which is across from Kimber’s Food Market. The Fallsburg Food Bank at the Fallsburg Tabernacle Church and Gods Food Pantry in Louisa (behind Big Blue Auto which is the old York Grocery) The one in Louisa is open every Thursday from 10 am- 2pm. You need to bring your ID showing that you live in Lawrence County to sign up. I am not sure of the days that the other 2 food banks are open. Gods Food Pantry does have income levels requirements based on size of family but during this COVID pandemic, some of these restrictions have been waived if you have lost your job.
