Paul Yates, 59, of Louisa, KY passed away Monday, September 25, 2023.

Paul was born May 10, 1964 in Louisa, KY to the late Gordon and Helen O’Bryan Yates. He was a member of the Fallsburg Fire Department for 38 years, and at one time held the position of Fire Chief. He also worked as an EMT for several years.

Surviving to cherish his memory are his siblings Cullen Yates, Linda (Clyde) Holt, and Tim (Rita) Yates; nephew Bryan Holt; nieces Terri White and Lisa (Yates) Webb; great nephews and nieces Sean White, Shelly White, Adam Scaggs, Andrew Ratcliffe, Elisabeth Claire Ratcliffe, Kendyl Webb, Bronson Damron, and Trent Damron; and special friends Jannie May and Chris Jobe.

Funeral services with firefighters honors will be conducted on Thursday, September 28, 2023 at 1:00 PM in the Young Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in the Myrtle Chapel Cemetery.

Friends may visit the family on Wednesday, September 27, 2023 in the Young Funeral Home after 6:00 PM.

Young Funeral Home has been entrusted with the care of Mr. Yates and his family.

    Paul was a sweet guy that I knew from childhood. He was the same guy every time you seen him. Friendly, and smiling. He will be missed. So sorry for the loss to his family.
