ONLY REMAINING DEMOCRAT COUNTY OFFICIALS SWITCH TO GOP
One old deacon put it this way, “I guess they saw the hand writing on the wall” to describe the political party switch of Lawrence County’s remaining two Democrat officials to the fast charging GOP.
Lawrence County Republican Chairman Todd Dunn explained Democrat Circuit Clerk Jodi Parsley and Lawrence Co. PVA Chris Rose switching parties recently as a sign of the turn towards liberalism on the national level.
He said the local party had nothing to do with the defections by Rose and Parsley.
“I knew they had switched but since the democratic party has been becoming more and more Liberal especially recently with such things as board control, abortion on demand, shutting down pipeline projects and the continued war on coal we have seen many people switching as Lawrence County is now solidly Republican, Dunn said. “I wish our party could take credit for the switches but it is almost entirely on the democratic leadership pulling their party towards socialism.”
Both candidates seemed to follow that theme in their statements yesterday and both acknowledged the political part of their decisions as well. The decision had to include consideration of the “Trump” majority in Lawrence County and were possibly afraid of getting swept aside in a general election with a political GOP wave like the last two. The wave actually began with the election of America’s first black president Barrack Obama 12 years ago who was considered to be anti-coal, in a region solidly in the pro-coal camp.
The defections are part of a major trend in Lawrence County that has seen registration boom for the Republican who are now the majority by nearly 1,000 voters when 18 years ago was solidly Democrat in registration and in most county offices.
“I want the citizens of Lawrence County to know that I am still the same person with the same beliefs that I had when they elected me as their Circuit Clerk in 2006. But the political stage has changed considerably since I first took office, and I felt the need to also make a change, Parsley said. “I will continue to serve the people of Lawrence County with the same integrity, kindness and respect as I have strived for in the past 26 years of my career in the Clerk’s office. I would certainly appreciate the continued support from the citizens of Lawrence County.”
Property Valuation Administrator PVA) Chris Rose also cited his beliefs as the reason for the sudden change of parties.
“The decision to change political parties was a long thoughtful process,” Rose said. “Just as we grow and change through the years, so does the political scene. At this time I just felt it was necessary for me to change political parties. This does not change who I am or how I feel about everyone in our community. I am truly appreciative of the support of everyone in our community and hope they will continue to support the person they have always known, who respects them and loves serving them.”
Obama fundamentally changed a lot of dims to the GOP, what he didn’t do Swillary completed! My beloved commonwealth has one thing left to do, rid itself of that longnecked fool that infects the Governors office! People with a mind see the road the dims are taking and are not impressed!
The democrat party has moved further left than liberalism. That is called leftists. They now consist of Marxist, socialist and communist. Many classical liberals think more like conservatives but they are being hammered in this because the left have destroyed the true meaning of liberal. The democrat party has indeed changed and it’s not liberalism. It’s heading straight to communism.
Basically we switched parties because we didn’t want to loose our paychecks. The Democratic Party has always been a communist socialist organization. Unless both officials have failed JR High history they willingly aligned themselves with the party of slavery, Jim Crowe Laws, and a major sponsor of the KKK in the 50s and 60s.
Actually Bob you are spot on correct. I wouldn’t trust a dim as far as I could through one. Changing to the GOP at this late date sounds more like they are scared of losing their offices in the next election to me?

Throw is also part of several common idioms, like when you say that something is a stone’s throw away, or that something threw you for a loop. Through can be used as a preposition or an adverb. It’s used to indicate movement that leads into one side of something and out the other side. Don’t correct my grammar when you have no clue, the difference between between their and there! And many other words, you don’t capitalize the first word of a sentence, use no punctuation whatsoever, use i instead of I…and try to correct me? I doubt you made it to the 3rd grade. Hell you didn.t even put a period after that post?
There truly will be a uge red wave across America in 2022 and 2024. Americans are quickly becoming very disgusted with where the liberal democrats are going. Puppet Biden and his puppeteers must go.
This needs to take place across the entire United States. Democrats only care about pushing their own narratives and agendas. They DO NOT care about the people of the United States. If you’re a Democratic take a close look at what has happened in just the past 4 months. They are trying to destroy America and turn the American people against one another. Divide and Conquer is they’re objective. We as a Nation can not allow this to continue.

As Ross Perot said, there’s not a dime’s worth of difference between the parties. When your grandchildren no longer have air to breathe and we’re being ruled by a despot, just sit back and count your votes. Not all people are as ignorant as the hill people in our fair region.
When Ross Perot said that it was nothing but a political slogan. The people of the hills are not ignorant,(except for KAG); but are now and have been the backbone of our nation. Ignorance more clearly defined would be Pelosi, AOC Biden and the Democrat party as a whole. We will have air long after our great great great grandchildren are long gone.
