LAZER lists Lawrence Co. salaries for 18-19 fiscal year

LOUISA, Ky. — The Lawrence County fiscal court met on Tuesday, May 15, 2018, those in attendance were Judge John Osborne, Magistrate Earl Boggs, Magistrate Rick Blackburn, Magistrate Morris Howard and Magistrate John Lemaster. The meeting was called to order after the opening prayer and pledge.

Judge/Executive John Osborne sat next to a potential rival for his $89,000 job, Republican Earl Boggs at Tuesday's Lawrence Co. Fiscal Court meeting while Magistrate Rick Blackburn, also a Republican up for re-election in District 4, listens carefully..

Lawrence County Fiscal Court, May 15, 2018

*  Motion by Earl Boggs, second by John Lemaster approved minutes at the April 17, 2018 regular meeting.

*  A motion by John Lemaster, second by Rick Blackburn approved treasures request.

*  A motion by Earl Boggs, second by Rick Blackburn approved bills.
Motion by Rick Blackburn, second by John Lemaster approved treasures report.

*  Motion by John Lemaster, second by Rick Blackburn approved recurring expenses for fiscal year 18/19.

*  Motion by Morris Howard, second by Earl Boggs set salaries fiscal year 2018–20 19. “There were not many changes in the salary schedules for the new year,” Osborne said. “The judge’s salary every two weeks is $3,341.53 which is exactly what the sheriff’s is as well. That is followed by the County Atty. of $1909.44 every 2 weeks.” (See complete list of salaries HERE)

John J. Lemaster was deep in thought during the meeting. Lemaster will be seeking his third term on the court this year.*  Motion by John Lemaster, second by Rick Blackburn approved health insurance renewal. (No price given)

*  A motion by Morris Howard, second by John Lemaster to authorize the clerk to advertise for bids on gravel, blacktop, pipe and fuel.

*  Motion by Earl Biggs, second by John Lemaster approved personnel policy and procedures and administrative code.

*  Motion by John Lemaster second by Rick Blackburn to reduce the speed limit on Partridge Lane to 20 mph.

*  A motion by Morris Howard second byJohn Lemaster accepted bids on road salt with Judge and Co Attorney.

*  Motion by Earl Boggs, second by John Lemaster approved agreement and resolution for county road aid cooperative program between the Commonwealth of Kentucky Transportation and Lawrence County fiscal Court.

*  Motion by John Lemaster, second by Rick Blackburn approved payment for the Hickman Fork bridge construction.

 

The meeting was then adjourned .
