NOAH THOMPDON, WHO WILL BE THE HEADLINE ACT AT HUNTINGTON, W.VA. ANNUAL 4TH OF JULY CONCERT; IS SEEN IN PHOTOS ABOVE PERFORMING DURING THE PAST SATURDAY NIGHT IN FRONT OF A CROWD OF AROUND 9,000 PEOPLE IN BARDSTOWN, KY.
Huntington, West Virginia’s annual Independence Day concert is returning bigger than ever this summer with everyone’s favorite local American Idol winner as the headlining act.
Noah Thompson, the winner of American Idol in May 2022 and native of Louisa, Kentucky, will headline ‘Dawg Dazzle’; on Monday, July 3, according to a news release from organizers.
For the first time ever, the event will feature two stages at Harris Riverfront Park.
Noah Thompson will headline the main stage while the Huntington Symphony Orchestra will take the second stage at Harris Riverfront Park Amphitheater.
“It’s great to be back on the riverfront. ‘Dawg Dazzle’ stands as a shining example of how great things can happen when the city, county, symphony, parks and community-minded businesses come together with a common purpose,” according to Reeves Kirtner, vice president of Kindred Communications, which Huntington based company that owns eight radio channel stations in Huntington; said in their news press release about the upcoming concert.
The band Madhouse will also perform as part of the event. The festivities will then conclude with a firework show over Huntington.
Free tickets can be picked up at participating locations including Wendy’s, Dutch Miller Auto Group, Little Caesars, Go Mart and other locations. Tickets will be available the day of the event at the riverfront for $10.

The announcement comes after Noah Thompson had his momentous period since his winning American Idol 13 months ago, during the previous week, that saw three major moments in his career. He played two concerts and made three other fan interaction appearances at the CMA Fest in Nashville, Tennessee from between Wednesday, June 7 and Saturday, June 10. Noah then performed later on Saturday night in Bardstown, KY., in front of around 9,000 people attending his concert.
But this biggest news last week for Noah Thompson was the release of his debut EP album, on Friday, June 9, titled “MIDDLE OF GODS KNOWS WHERE“, a six-song album, which includes his 2022 original debut song ‘One Day Tonight’, but it is the album’s title track ‘Middle of God Know’s Where’, that is the official first commercial release.
