SELLING METH, STEALING TIMBER AMONG CHARGES

Yesterday, (January 22, 2018) the US Marshals Task Force, Task Force West, Wayne County Sheriff Drug Enforcement Unit, DNR, and Division of Forestry conducted a Felony warrant sweep in various locations in Wayne County.

A total of nine people have been arrested and three arrests are pending. (5) Suspects from the Wayne – East Lynn area were arrested following an investigation by Task Force West and the Wayne County Sheriff Drug Enforcement Unit.

Chawntel McCoy was charged with (4) Counts of Delivery of a controlled substance (Methamphetamine). Cody Sammons and Isaac Swimm are each charged with (2) Counts of Delivery of a controlled substance (Methamphetamine). Kayla Sammons (Ferguson) and Rachael Stephens are each charged with (1) Count of Delivery of a controlled substance (Methamphetamine).

Timothy ‘Buzz’ Doss, of Fort Gay, was charged with Possession with Intent to Deliver x 2 and Pseudoephedrine Altered.

Russell Ramey was arrested on (Delivery of A Controlled Substance) charges.

A timber theft investigation by the DNR and Division of Forestry resulted in the arrests of Jessica Baisden, Raymond Messer, and John Lowe, of the Dingess and Crum area.

Baisden is charged with Felony Fraudulent Schemes and 10 misdemeanors. Both Messer and Lowe are each charged with Felony Fraudulent Schemes and 8 misdemeanors.

Felony warrants were also issued for:  Brian Kelly Adkins, and Anthony Melber.
