NEW FEATURE

‘LAZER JEOPARDY: YOU PROVIDE THE QUESTIONS’

Here’s the first installment on our New for ’23 Feature designed to allow local and not so local viewers to ask questions they want answers for in this year of the general assembly meeting and the governor’s race taking place. Plus, the talk and smell of higher taxes fill the air in Lawrence County.

A lot of people want answers but don’t want to risk the possible repercussions of the ones in power so we decided to ask the questions for you. You send them from a legitimate email and we’ll ask them and you do not have to leave your name.

Send questions to:  Editor, TheLevisaLazer.com or markgrayson@me.com

You’re not asking the right questions on the turf field
“…(Lawrence Co., Ky. Judge/Exec.) Phil Carter has promised over a $100,000 In gravel alone and County workers and equipment to level land and move dirt in the amount of $25-$50,000 (for the turf at LCHS). Where is this money coming from? Do the magistrates even know he promised that? No vote happened…When a county can’t even provide an ambulance service wouldn’t that be a priority?

They are going to ask for a nickel tax for the ambulance service, and rush it before the school does so phil can get his first. The turf is just a ploy for the double nickel tax to get the youth league and Phil on board.

Phil played Dr. Fletcher and is claiming he got the turf done, Dr. Fletcher did it to help his tax, so is Phil Carter for the nickel tax??? That’s the question that needs asked. He is either for it or played Dr. Fletcher. So which one is it?

    Very good question.

Why would one dream of putting tax money in high school sports, when an ambulance service is needed? Can’t local politicians get their names placed on the side of an ambulance?

Charley this is what you get with one party rule(GOP)

Any County without a Democrat…is a fine county!

If I want to know something from an elected official I will ask them in person. I have no need for a proxy. Many people will use this because they can post stuff that they would not walk up to and say to an individual in person. Manners and respect go a long way with people. Rudeness and being disrespectful gets you nowhere.

    • Charles says:

Sir, that is true in general but with politics it doesn’t always work that way. People do have a right to an opinion, even if it is rude and/or disrespectful. Why, may I ask are you here to make such a profound statement? Could you be or be related to an elected official?

“Any county without a democrat is a fine county”
Charley if you like a county without a ambulance service you have it

All are corrupt. Neither care about the people of this county who are already struggling and let me tell you, it is people with decent jobs.

I want to know where the petition is?

    • Charles says:

Politicians are by definition corrupt. However, the Republican party in general is far better suited to working people. It has always since its inception been. The Democrat party since beginning with Andrew Jackson (trail of tears and many other atrocities), has been a party of liars and thieves. The Democrat party claims it represents the working people, it does not, and never has. It represents non-never working trash, which is their base voters. It allows the so-called poor, not the working poor; to live free, free of bills for rent, heat, money, food ETC. I’ll grant you the Republicans are far from perfect, but they are the best working people have.

The Lazer did provide this opportunity. Where is the trans parity of Lawerance County and the city of Louisa government…and why is KAG a BUM?
