National Hospital Week Puts Spotlight on People as Healthcare Heroes

LOUISA – A hospital is more than a place where people go to heal, it is a part of the community that fosters health and represents hope.  From providing treatment and comfort to the sick, hospitals are central to a healthy and optimistic community.

Hospitals throughout the country and especially Three Rivers Medical Center are observing National Hospital Week during May 11 – 16, 2020 celebration.  We’re extremely proud of the individual staff members, whatever role that they perform with our hospital.  We recognize the important role that all of our employees and staff are extending a sense of trust to our patients and our communities.  Whether we are physicians, nurses, employees and staff, we are all in this together as healthcare heroes to make a positive difference in delivering and providing the best healthcare possible to the citizens of the community.  We extend sincere and special thanks to all the healthcare Heroes of Three Rivers Medical Center for their dedication and service to making our world a happier, healthier place to live.

The nation’s largest health care event, National Hospital Week dates back to 1921 when it was suggested by a magazine editor who hoped a community wide celebration would alleviate public fears about hospitals.  The celebration, launched in Chicago, succeeded in promoting trust and goodwill among members of the public and eventfully spread to facilities across the country.
