LOUISA FULL OF MUSTANGS!

By Susan Salyer

Wow…Louisa was full of Mustangs this morning….All the Power but No Neighs heard!

Backroads of Appalachia made a stop for lunch at the Garden Theater down Main Street and 50 Shelby Mustangs covered the block in front of the Lawrence County Courthouse. A nice crowd gathered to watch the 50, more or less, Ford Shelby Mustangs gathered display their prized cars.

Steve Spangler is with red mirror events and apparel. Lawrence County Tourism and Erik Hubbard with Backroads of Appalachia promoted the 2 day event in Lawrence and Boyd counties in Ky . And Wayne and Mingo Counties of Wv., local tourism president Wes Kingsmore said today.

Backroads of Appalachia is a non-profit organization with a passion and empathy for the Appalachian Region, driving economic development, job training and opportunity to the poverty stricken areas of Appalachia through tourism and motorsports.

The group, which will stay in Ashland, Kentucky tonight. Everyone had fun and can’t wait till they come back in September.

Wish I would have known before it was over. Where did the tour or race originate where were they going? A short interview with the leader would have been nice. Many unanswered questions in this BRIEF story. Left me hanging Lazer.

EDITOR– There was no forwarning and we were told by a courthouse member after they got here. We interviewed the guy but he wasn’t saying much about the ride himself. Will try to send you that interview at the address you gave for making this absurd crack. Thanks for reading The Lazer.

Hi. I was one of the drivers Car 09. We did various runs on back roads in WV and KY this weekend. Louisa was day 1 of 2 for us. We all were lodging in Ashland, KY. Just doing some runs or tours on the backroads and having fun driving our cars. We stopped by Louisa for a scheduled lunch and we hope to be back near there this fall, mid september. The leader of the group who orchestrated the event is Steve Spangler. You can learn more about this event and others like it coming up at https://redmirrorevents.com/
