Mrs. Bernice (Bishop) Wilks, 91, of Webbville, KY went home to be with the Lord on Monday, April 1, 2019 at King’s Daughters Medical Center in Ashland, KY.

 

She was born September 8, 1927 in Webbville to the late Phillip and Hallie (Holbrook) Bishop. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband William H. Wilks, two sons William Ray Wilks and Phillip Wilks along with a granddaughter Angela Wilks, a brother Eddie Bishop, and a sister Bonnie Bishop.

 

Survivors include her children Ted Wilks, David Wilks, Sammy Wilks, Phillip (Susie) Wilks, Tommy (Anita) Wilks, Barbara Hewlett, Judy (John) Robinette. Additional survivors include  22 grandchildren, 40 great grandchildren, 3 great-great grandchildren, along with a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends. Mrs. Wilks had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of the Baptist Faith. 

 

Funeral services will be conducted at 11 am Friday, April 5, 2019 at the Young Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at the Bishop Family Cemetery on Diamond Ridge.

Visitation will be from 6-9pm Thursday at the Young Funeral Home.
