On Saturday March 26 at 7PM the Mountain Movers Theatre Company presented its last show of Willy Wonka Jr. by Ronald Dahl of the season. Kim Willard, Director, welcomed everyone to the SOLD OUT show and took a selfie of the crowd with her own camera. The Garden Theatre was packed for the Willy Wonka Jr. Musical by Kids and was a movie I watched as a kid.
Willy Wonka Jr. follows mysterious candy manufacturer, Willy Wonka as he stages a contest by hiding golden tickets in five of his scrumptious candy bars. Whomever comes up with these tickets will win a free tour of the Wonka factory, as well as a lifetime supply of candy. Four of the five winning children are extremely arrogant brats, but the fifth is a likable young lad named Charlie Bucket, who takes the tour in the company of his equally warm-hearted grandfather. The children must learn to follow Mr. Wonka’s rules in the factory-or suffer the consequences.
The kids in this performance performed as first-time actors and really made the crowd laugh and enjoy the show. They performed over 15 musical numbers and the cast was extremely talented.

The Mountain Movers Garden Theatre (MoMo) staff will be busy on the next musical show, “Steel Magnolia’s” by Robert Harling which will begin April 29, 2022. The tickets can be purchased at the Garden Theatre’s door or on Eventbrite Tickets Online. Ticket prices are Adult $17.50, Senior Adults(65+) $14.50, Child 12 and under $11.50, Family of 4 (only by calling the Box Office) $46, Tuesday show special on May 3 all tickets will be $5. Performances: April 29, 30, May 3, 5, 6, 12, 13, 2022 at 7:30 PM and May 1, 8, 2022 at 3PM. The next kids performance will be Freaky Friday in September 2022
