Randall “Randy” Eugene Moore, dedicated husband, father of three, and grandfather passed away on February 1, 2023 surrounded by his loved ones at Community Hospice in Ashland, KY. Randy was born February 23, 1949 in Lawrence County, KY to the late Martha (Hensley) and R.C. Moore, Jr. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother Phillip “Paul” Moore.

Randy graduated from Lawrence County High School, then went on to Ashland Community and Technical College to further his education. He retired as a foreman from CSX, after a successful 34 year career. When Randy wasn’t working on the railroad or being a devoted father, you would find him under the hood of many types of classic cars. He rebuilt many through his life, his favorite being a 1970 Chevelle. Randy was a father figure to all the neighborhood children.

In addition to his wife Patty Moore, he leaves behind his children James (Jessica) Moore of Warfield, KY, Christopher R. Moore of Ashland, KY and Ladonya Moore of Louisa, KY; grandchildren Archer, Angelina, BJ, and Nova; brother Bill (Barb) Moore of Grundy, VA.
