PACKING ENOUGH WEED FOR CHEECH & CHONG BIRTHDAY PARTY: JOSEPH MICHAEL MCINTYRE, 38, OF HARPERS WOODS, MICHIGAN; WAS ARRESTED AFTER BEING CAUGHT AT A KENTUCKY STATE POLICE CHECKPOINT ON THE MOUNTAIN PARKWAY IN MAGOFFIN COUNTY ON WEDNESDAY NIGHT., JULY 27

A Michigan man ended up in jail, again, after state police found him transporting more than 5 pounds of marijuana; just days after getting arrested for a DUI and other motor traffic vehicle violations in Pikeville, KY.

Joseph Michael McIntyre, 38, of Harper Woods, Michigan; was driving along the Mountain Parkway in Magoffin County on Wednesday night, July 26, when he encountered a Kentucky State Police Post 9 roadblock at mile marker 70.

When a state trooper came to the window, he could immediately detect the odor of marijuana, and Joseph McIntyre reportedly admitted there was a small amount in the center console. The trooper found that small amount, but then found several large plastic bags of the drug in the trunk of the car.

Joseph McIntyre was arrested by KSP trooper Billy Ball, and he was charged with:

*TRAFFICKING IN MARIJUANA ( > 5 LBS.) 1ST OFFENSE; and

*NO OPERATORS-MOPED LICENSE.

Joseph McIntyre was transported to & booked in the Big Sandy Regional Detention Center, in Paintsville, KY., in Johnson County, on Wednesday night; but he was able to post his bond on Thursday afternoon and he was released from the BSRDC.

Just six days earlier, back on Thursday, July 20, Joseph Michael McIntyre was arrested after being pulled over for speeding on U.S. 23 in Pikeville; and for he was charged with:

*SPEEDING 10 MPH OVER LIMIT,

*NO OPERATORS-MOPED LICENSE,

*DUI 1ST OFFENSE (PIKE COUNTY, $500 FULL CASH BOND, DISTRICT COURT JUDGE TOMMY RYAN MAY),

*POSSESSION OF MARIJUANA,

*DRUG PARAPHERNALIA – BUY/POSSESS.

Better than a load of alcohol in my opinion.

I can’t stand people that judge others. Pot is a relatively harmless drug. I would like to see the statistics of how many people have gotten killed by drunk drivers versus people killed by people driving high on pot! I always use my analogy when I was a young man and would hangout in the local bars in Michigan. By about midnight every night usually weekends fights would ALWAYS start. I’m talking nasty fistfight. There weren’t any strictly pot bars back then but now with the legalization of recreational pot in Michigan there are pot establishments. One in particular used to be an Italian take out or eart in place. Now they sell pot also. After the patrons smoke they mostly order pizza etc. And enjoy the company of other patrons and to this day a year later not one fight has broken out. LOL

Pot is “legal” by state law, but differing per county. KY maybe not legal. Anyway it wasn’t meth so he will probably do community service. No don’t think they have room in overcrowded jail for pothead busted even 5 lbs and other charges. Maybe he should move out to Portland or Seattle and steal tvs for under $1,000 from big box store, over there they’ll just smile at this guy.

At least it wasn’t a sack full of copperheads or rattlesnakes. Could you imagine the look on the cops face if those things were protecting the weed.

I’m pretty sure you cant smoke yourself to death. Half the 70’s age group would be gone. LOL… Government just mad because they’re not taxing it.

Well the government really got some things to think about because couple of the major legalized controlled substances kill people got opiates and then you got alcohol But then you got people that smoke weed and people that smoke cocaine and they are bad people really why don’t the government get this thing straight to people smoking weed or people smoking cocaine kill others or die nope but alcohol and opiates do
