MAYOR SAYS OBSERVATION DECK WILL BE COMPLETED IN EARLY OCT.

Louisa Mayor Harold Slone met for a second time with some members of the Louisa Chapter of DAR for an update on the Observation Deck Project. The deck is the beginning of the city’s Riverwalk work.

As soon as materials arrive and building permit is approved in Frankfort, the building will proceed, Slone said during today’s meeting.

Labor for project will be done by volunteers, he said. Anyone Mayor Harold Slone showed  the size of panels that will contain pictures and stories of the Locks around the Octagon shaped deck.interested can contact the Mayor at City Hall. Completion of the project is scheduled for around the first part of October.

Next meeting is 10:00am August 14, 2017 @ City Hall.
