A TRUE MOTHER LODE: THE HUGE AMOUNT OF NUMEROUS TYPE OF DRUGS FOUND BY LOGAN COUNTY DEPUTIES AT A HOME IN LOGAN, WEST VIRGINIA.

THOMAS EVITO ESPOSITO, 41, OF LOGAN
RANDALL TODD MOONEY, 43, OF LOGAN

THE TWO ALLEGED DRUG DEALERS WHO GOT BUSTED: THOMAS EVITO ESPOSITO, 41, OF LOGAN, WHO WAS THE OWNER OF THE HOME WERE THE DRUG RAID TOOK PLACE; AND RANDALL TODD MOONEY, 43, OF LOGAN, W.VA., WHO WAS ARMED AND FOUND IN A ROOM WHERE THE MAJORITY OF THE DRUGS WERE FOUND, ALONG WITH  OTHER DRUGS DISCOVERED AT HIS HOME.

LOGAN, W.VA. — Two Logan County men were arrested after deputies made a massive drug find late Wednesday afternoon, June 22.

According to the arrest report, Logan County deputies went to a home on Nighbert Avenue, which is  located in the city of Logan, to investigate several tip reports of drug activity. When the owner of the home, Thomas Evito Esposito, 41, of Logan, came to and answered the door, the deputies immediately detected a strong scent of marijuana.

As deputies began speaking with Thomas Esposito, they noticed clear baggies containing “green vegetation” sticking out of Esposito’s left front pocket.

When Thomas Esposito gave the deputies permission to search his home, they first searched him personally, and he was found to be in possession of two-dozen 8mg suboxone strips, which he had on his person.

But that was nothing compared to what the deputies would find soon after they went inside the house.

On the first floor, deputies reported finding a very large amount of marijuana in the living room and inside a refrigerator located in the laundry room, along with packaging and distribution materials including digital scales.

A second suspect, identified as Randall Todd Mooney, 43, of Logan, was found in a room on the second floor of the home, deputies say.

In that room, deputies say they found several clear glass jars containing suspected marijuana and thousands of pills

A further search of the room by the deputies revealed what the deputies said they found a total of 25 Suboxone, five Xanax, 105 Klonopin, 50 Adderall pills, 49 Roxicodone, 92 Dextroamphetamine and 1,920 Neurontin pills, according to the Logan County Sheriff office. Deputies also allegedly found methamphetamine, marijuana, THC wax and psychedelic mushrooms.

Through their investigation, the deputies obtained permission to search Randall Todd Mooney’s home where they allegedly found an additional 990 Neurontin pills and about 11 pounds of marijuana in the attic, the Logan County Sheriff Office said.

In all, Logan County deputies estimate the final total amount of marijuana seized to be around 22 pounds. In all, 2,910 Neurontin pills are also now in possession of the sheriff’s office.

The Logan County Sheriff Office stated that both Thomas Evito Esposito and Randall Todd Mooney are convicted felons, and that Randall Todd Mooney was also in possession of a .45 caliber pistol.

Thomas Vito Esposito was charged by the Logan County Sheriff Office with possession with intent to deliver; and Randall Todd Mooney was charged with possession and delivery of a controlled substance and being a prohibited person in possession of a firearm.

Both Thomas Evito Esposito and Randall Todd Mooney were transported to and booked in the Southwestern Regional Jail in Holden, W.Va., in Logan County; with Randall Todd Mooney was being held on a $250,000 full cash bond, while Thomas Evito Esposito was being held on a $50,000 full cash bond.

Stunningly, even with both men given high bond amounts, and the huge amount of drugs that were discovered; both of the drug suspects posted their bonds and were released from the jail by the middle of Friday morning.
