Mary Nagel went home to be with the Lord surrounded by her family on Wednesday, October 6, 2021.
She leaves her children with strength, beautiful memories and enough love to carry them throughout their lives. Mary was born into this world to Elva Evans and John Lewis Evans in Chattaroy, West Virginia on March 1, 1927. Mary was preceded in death by her husband Walter F. Nagel and daughter Bobbie Morgan. She was the last to join her 9 Siblings in Heaven: Lee, Andy, Bill, John, Arnold, Irene, Hazel, Joe, and Roger.
Mary is survived by her children Dixie Evans, Linda Ciemnicki, Mary Jayne Waynick, Guy Burrell, Terry Hogston, and Evelyn Buckner; 16 grandchildren; 27 great grandchildren; 10 great great grandchildren and many nieces, nephews and friends.
Mary was not only a loving mother she was also a foster mother. She enjoyed working in the hospital and loved sharing her talent of sewing. She made many quilts and gifts and collected many dolls. Mary had a great love for her family and always said “I would love to have all my kids little again and home with me”. Mary had a great sense of humor and loved to laugh.
She will always be remembered by her smiling eyes. Mary was a member of the American Legion Post 342 Auxiliary.
Funeral services will be conducted Sunday, October 10, 2021 at Noon at the Young Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in the Leadman Cemetery.
Friends may visit the family on Saturday, October 9, 2021 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Young Funeral Home Chapel.
