BEAUTY, Ky. — A Martin County man has died after the car he was working on rolled on top of him.
According to a statement released from Martin County Coroner Chris Todd, he stated that James Brandon Preece, 39 of Beauty, Kentucky; died when the Ford Mustang he was working underneath rolled off the metal ramps it was on, pinning him underneath.
The incident happened around 3:00 PM. Wednesday afternoon on Big Elk Road in the community of Beauty.
Coroner Todd says James Preece was pronounced dead at the scene.
James Brandon Preece was a widower; his late wife, Heather Jane Preece (Mollette), passed away on September 3, 2020, at the age of 34, from complications from cancer. They both were parents of young sons; Shawn, Chase, Corey, and Kash Preece.
