Christopher S. Marcum
CHRISTOPHER S. MARCUM, 4, OF INEZ, KY., WAS ARRESTED ON OCTOBER 24, ON A WARRANT FOR NOT APPEARING IN COURT ON A DRUG CHARGE; BUT RESISTED HIS ARREST BY BITING AND KICKING THE ARRESTING DEPUTY, AS WELL AS MAKING LEWD WARNING.

A man out of Martin County was charged with attacking a deputy who was attempting to arrest him.

According to the arrest report from the Martin County Sheriff Office, on early Tuesday evening, October 24, Martin County deputy David Adams went to the home of Christopher S. Marcum, 47, on Bowling Lane, in the Inez area, to arrest Mr. Marcum on a court bench warrant for not showing up in court for a charge of meth possession.

Christopher Marcum was discovered within his home by deputy Adams, hiding under a blanket, the report said.

Deputy Adams placed him under arrest, but Marcum refused to walk to the police cruiser. As he was being taken by force, Mr. Marcum allegedly bit deputy Adams on his arm.

Christopher Marcum then kicked deputy Adams in the leg, before informing deputy Adams,  that he was HIV positive.

In addition to the bench warrant for not showing up in court on the charge of meth possession, Christopher Marcum is now facing the additional charges of:

 * ASSAULT 3RD DEGREE-POLICE OFFICER OR PROBATION OFFICER, and

 *RESISTING ARREST.

Christopher Marcum was transported to, booked, and was lodged in the Big Sandy Regional Detention Center in Paintsville; where he remains as of late Sunday night, October 30.

If he is HIV positive or has AIDS he should also be charged with attempted murder
