BUSTED WITH DRUGS: KRISTI DAWN FLETCHER (PHOTO TOP), 33, OF INEZ, KY., & ROBERT M. MOORE (PHOTO Bottom), 36, OF DEBORD, KY., WERE ARRESTED AFTER A TRAFFIC STOP IN MARTIN COUNTY EARLY SATURDAY MORNING ON DRUG TRAFFICKING OFFENSES.

A man and woman from Martin County were arrested at the early start of the weekend in Martin County after their vehicle’s reportedly “loud exhaust system” led to them being pulled over in a traffic stop by law enforcement, and it ended in the couple being arrested for drug trafficking.

According to the Martin County Sheriff’s Office, Martin County Sheriff Deputy David Adams pulled over a pickup truck on Route 3 around 1:30 A.M. Saturday morning, May 20, for having a loud muffler and no light on the license plate.

As Deputy Adams approached the vehicle, he spotted the two occupants scurrying around inside the truck. He then saw the passenger, identified as Kristi Dawn Fletcher, 33, of Inez, KY., holding something in her hand when he got to the window.

Kristi Fletcher told Deputy Adams that the driver of the truck, identified as Robert M. Moore, 36, of Debord, KY., told her to shove a bunch of bags into her purse after they got pulled over.

The bags contained methamphetamine, fentanyl and Valium.

Both Robert Moore and Kristi Fletcher were arrested and charged with the following offense:

Robert Moore was charged with:

*REAR LICENSE NOT ILLUMINATED,

*INADEQUATE SILENCER (MUFFLER),

*OPERATING ON SUSPENDED OR REVOKED OPERATORS LICENSE,

*TRAFFICKING IN CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE, 1ST DEGREE, 1ST OFFENSE – (> OR = 2 GRAMS METHAMPHETAMINE),

*POSSESSION CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE, 3RD DEGREE – DRUG UNSPECIFIED,

*TRAFFICKING IN CONTROLLED  SUBSTANCE, 1ST OFFENSE (CARFENTANIL OR FENTANYL DERIVATIVES).

Kristi D. Fletcher was charged with:

*TRAFFICKING IN CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE, 1ST DEGREE, 1ST OFFENSE – (> OR = 2 GRAMS METHAMPHETAMINE),

*POSSESSION CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE, 3RD DEGREE – DRUG UNSPECIFIED,

*TRAFFICKING IN CONTROLLED  SUBSTANCE, 1ST OFFENSE (CARFENTANIL OR FENTANYL DERIVATIVES), *CONTEMPT OF COURT LIBEL/SLANDER RESISTANCE TO ORDER.

The drug trafficking couple were transported to and were lodged in the Big Sandy Regional Detention Center in Paintsville; where they remained in custody as of late Tuesday night, May 23.
