JUDGE DAVIS TOLD OF POTENTIAL RISK BY COUNTY HEALTH DEPARTMENT OF CONTRACT TRACE OF POSITIVE CASE OF PERSON WHO WAS IN HIS OFFICE DURING THE PREVIOUS WEEK

DECEMBER 10,2020 – written by WADE QUEEN

The judge executive of Martin County county leader announced on social media Thursday morning that his office will be closed temporarily due to exposure to a positive coronavirus case.

Martin County Judge Executive William “Bo” Davis posted on the Martin County Fiscal Court Facebook page that contract tracing from the Martin County Health Department discovered the exposure of the COVID-19 case at his office.

In the messaging posting, Martin County officials say the person who later tested positive visited the office on December 2nd. They said the individual was not showing symptoms at the time, but out of an abundance of caution, the judge executive office will be closed on Thursday, December 10th and Friday, December 11th.

Judge Executive Bill Davis and his staff will also quarantine at home. Judge Davis stated with an apology to local residents for any inconvenience that it may cause due to the sudden temporary closure of his office.
