FIVE DAYS AFTER TOMAHAWK MAN IS INDICTED IN DRUG CASE, HE IS FOUND MURDERED IN LAWRENCE COUNTY

The Martin County grand jury returned three indictments on Thursday, July 1, on seven people, including a man and woman accused of assaulting former Martin County Sheriff Garmon Preece.
Those seven individuals that were indicted are named as the following:
Marion Marcum Jr., 35, and Mikaela L Horn, 25, both of Inez, Ky., were charged with second-degree assault complicity causing serious physical injury on May 14, 2021, to former Martin County Sheriff Garmon Preece.
Kentucky State Trooper first class Billy Hall appeared before the grand jury as a witness. Their bond was set at $10,000 full cash for both Marion Marcum and Mikaela Horn.

Daniels, 30, and Stephanie Ann Howell, 36; all three from Tomahawk KY., were charged with: *First-Degree Trafficking of Greater than 2 Grams of Methamphetamine-complicity, *Unlawful Possession of Methamphetamine precursor-complicity, *Possession/Use of Drug Paraphernalia, and *Persistent Felony Offender in the First Degree.
The trio’s charges stem from their April 21 arrest by Martin County deputy sheriff Lauren O’Brien. They are accused of acting alone or in complicity with Carl Daniels Sr., and having approximately 17.989 grams of meth, $492 in cash, two digital scales, multiple baggies, a combination of drug products containing Pseudoephedrine, 60 dosage units of Pseudoephedrine, a loaded syringe, and multiple altered pipes.
Carl Daniels Jr., Matthew Daniels, and Stephanie Howell bond were set at $20,000 full cash.
Call Daniel Sr., 58, of Tomahawk, KY., was charged with: *First-Degree Trafficking Greater than 2 Grams of Methamphetamine-complicity, *First-Degree Unlawful Possession of Methamphetamine precursor-complicity, and *Possession/use of Drug Paraphernalia-complicity.

Carl Daniels Sr. bond upon his arrest was to be set at $20,000 full cash.
Unfortunately however, on July 6, five days after his indictment, Carl Daniels Sr. was found deceased off Route 2033 in the Peach Orchard community of Lawrence County.
The Kentucky State Police stated evidence at the scene suggested foul play, and an autopsy was scheduled for Wednesday, July 7, 2021, at the state coroner’s office in Louisville, Kentucky.
The preliminary autopsy findings revealed that Carl Daniels Sr. died as a result of a homicide. State Police officials did reveal what was the exact cause of Carl Daniels death via homicide.
Glenn T. Booth, 50, of Warfield, KY., was indicted on seven separate charges that were for: *Operating a Vehicle Under the Influence of Alcohol/Drugs, Fourth or Greater Offense, *Second-Degree Persistent Felony Offender (Enhancement), *Operating on a Suspended or Revoked License, *Possession of Marijuana, *Possession/Use of Drug Paraphernalia, *Failure to Maintain Insurance, & *All-Terrain Violations.
