Martin County Grand Jury met September 2 and issued several indictments going back as far as 2003.

Charles E. Spillman  committed the offense of flagrant non-support when he failed to pay child support to Stephanie Mills and the Commonwealth of Ky as court ordered with a total amount exceeding $12,359.40.

Commonwealth vs. Bethany Stephens
The Grand Jury charges that on or before June 15, 2021 in Martin County, Ky the above named defendant:
1. Bethany Stephens acting alone or in complicity with Noah May committed the offense of possession of a controlled substance in the first degree by knowingly and unlawfully being in possession of a controlled substance, Methamphetamine.
Commonwealth vs. Noah May
The Grand Jury charges that on or before June 15, 2021 in Martin County, Ky the above named defendant:
1. Noah May acting alone or in complicity with Bethany Stephens committed the offense of possession of a controlled substance in the first degree by knowingly and unlawfully being in possession of a controlled substance, Methamphetamine.
Commonwealth vs. Joshua Moore 
The Grand Jury charges that on or before August 3, 2021 in Martin County, Ky the above named defendant:
1. Joshua Moore committed the offense of possession of a controlled substance in the first degree by knowingly and unlawfully being in possession of a controlled substance, Methamphetamine.
2. The above named defendant committed the offense of possession/drug paraphernalia by knowingly and unlawfully being in possession of two loaded syringes.
3. The above named defendant committed the offense of operating a motor  vehicle on suspended or revoked license by knowingly and unlawfully operating a motor vehicle while his license to operate said motor vehicle had been suspended or revoked.
4. The above named defendant committed the offense of failure of non owner to maintain insurance by knowingly and unlawfully being in physical control of a motor vehicle upon a Ky roadway without proper insurance securities in place.
5. The above named defendant committed the violation of failure to wear seat belts by knowingly and unlawfully being in physical control of a motor vehicle upon a Ky roadway without proper safety belts in place.
Commonwealth vs. Kobe Davis 
The Grand Jury charges that on or before July 14, 2021 in Martin County, Ky the above named defendant:
1. Kobe Davis committed the offense of importing Heroin/Fentanyl/Carfentanil by knowingly and unlawfully transporting any quantity of Fentanyl into the Commonwealth by any means with the intent to sell or distribute the Fentanyl.
Commonwealth vs. Marlena A. Evans
The Grand Jury charges that on or before July 15, 2021 in Martin County, Ky the above named defendant:
1. Marlena A. Evans committed the offense of escape in the second degree by knowingly and unlawfully escaping the custody of Deputy Martin County Jailer, Larry Maynard, while in transport to or from the Big Sandy Regional Detention Center.
2. The above named defendant having been charged in the instant indictment with the above stated felony count(s) is now being charged as a persistent felony offender.
Commonwealth vs. Brittany Collins 
The Grand Jury charges that on or before July 15, 2021 in Martin County, Ky the above named defendant:
1. Brittany Collins committed the offense of possession of a controlled substance in the first degree by knowingly and unlawfully being in possession of a controlled substance, Methamphetamine.
Commonwealth vs. David McCoy
The Grand Jury charges that on or before May 14, 2021 in Martin County, Ky the above named defendant:
1. David McCoy committed the offense of burglary in the second degree by knowingly and unlawfully entering the dwelling house owned by Reisa Stafford of Inez, Ky with the intent therein to commit the crime of theft.
2. The above named defendant committed the offense of operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol/drugs first offense within ten years by operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol or other substances that impair a driver’s ability to operate a motor vehicle.
3. The above named defendant committed the offense of possession of Marijuana by knowingly and unlawfully being in possession of Marijuana.
Commonwealth vs. William H. Messer
The Grand Jury charges that on or before June  1, 2016 in Martin County, Ky the above named defendant:
1. William H. Messer committed the offense of flagrant non-support when he failed to pay child support to Stephanie Mills and the Commonwealth of Ky as court ordered with a total amount exceeding $8,555.48.
Commonwealth vs. Charles E. Spillman
The Grand Jury charges that on or before December 1, 2003 in Martin County, Ky the above named defendant:
1. Charles E. Spillman  committed the offense of flagrant non-support when he failed to pay child support to Stephanie Mills and the Commonwealth of Ky as court ordered with a total amount exceeding $12,359.40.
Commonwealth vs. Barbara Gordon
The Grand Jury charges that on or before July 21, 2021 in Martin County, Ky the above named
