FEBRUARY SESSIONS OF GRAND JURY RETURNS NINE INDICTMENTS TOTAL; ALL OF THEM DRUG RELATED CASES

A Martin County Grand Jury returned nine indictments against eight individuals for its February sessions last week, with all of the indictments being drug related. Those names in the indict true bills are the following:

Robert H. Drenning, 44, of Lovely, Kentucky; was indicted on charges of:

  • First Degree Trafficking in a Controlled Substance (2 grams of Methamphetamine), and
  • Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Robert Drenning was arrested on the charges on October 1, 2020.

Minnie Faye Huhn, 58, of Debord, Kentucky; was indicted on one count of:

  • First Degree Possession of a Controlled Substance (Methamphetamine). Minnie Huhn was arrested on the charge on January 13, 2021,


William Marcum, 44, Williamson, West Virginia; was indicted on one count of:

  • First Degree Possession of a Controlled Substance (Fentanyl). William Marcum was arrested on the charge on October 23, 2020.


Cheryl R. Delong, 39, Tomahawk, Kentucky; was indicted on one count of:

  • First Degree Possession of a Controlled Substance (Methamphetamine). Cheryl Delong was arrested on the charge on January 7, 2021.


Hailee J. Joseph, 26, Tomahawk, Kentucky; was indicted on one count of:

  • First Degree Possession of Controlled Substance (Methamphetamine). Hailee Joseph was arrested on the charge on January 20, 2021.


Dewey James, 23, Lovely, Kentucky; was indicted on charges of:

  • First Degree Trafficking (Fentanyl) with Firearm Enhancement/Complicity,
  • First-Degree Trafficking (Oxycodone), 10 Doses Units, with Firearm Enhancement/Complicity;
  • First Degree Trafficking (Methamphetamine), 2 grams, with Firearm Enhancement/Complicity,
  • Second-Degree Trafficking in a Controlled Substance, with a Firearm Enhancement/Complicity,
  • Third-Degree Trafficking 20 Dosage Units, with Firearm Enhancement/Complicity.

Dewey James is accused of acting alone or in complicity with two other individuals (Mary Workman & Stevie Hackney), while in possession of a Cobra .22 caliber handgun and a Winchester .22 caliber rifle. Dewey James was arrested on the charges on October 25, 2020.


Mary Jo Workman, 45, of Lovely, Kentucky; was indicted on charges of:

  • First Degree Trafficking (Fentanyl) with Firearm Enhancement/Complicity,
  • First-Degree Trafficking (Oxycodone), 10 Doses Units, with Firearm Enhancement/Complicity;
  • First Degree Trafficking (Methamphetamine), 2 grams, with Firearm Enhancement/Complicity,
  • Second-Degree Trafficking in a Controlled Substance, with a Firearm Enhancement/Complicity,
  • Third-Degree Trafficking 20 Dosage Units, with Firearm Enhancement/Complicity.

Mary Workman, is accused of acting alone or in complicity with two other individuals (Mary Workman & Stevie Hackney), with one of them being her son (Dewey James), while in possession of a Cobra .22 caliber handgun and a Winchester .22 caliber rifle. Mary Workman was arrested on the charges on October 25, 2020.


Stevie P. Hackney, 58, of Lovely, Kentucky: was indicted on charges of:

  • First Degree Trafficking (Fentanyl) with Firearm Enhancement/Complicity,
  • First-Degree Trafficking (Oxycodone), 10 Doses Units, with Firearm Enhancement/Complicity;
  • First Degree Trafficking (Methamphetamine), 2 grams, with Firearm Enhancement/Complicity,
  • Second-Degree Trafficking in a Controlled Substance, with a Firearm Enhancement/Complicity,
  • Third-Degree Trafficking 20 Dosage Units, with Firearm Enhancement/Complicity.

Stevie Hackney is accused of acting alone or in complicity with two other individuals (Mary Workman & Dewey James), while in possession of a Cobra .22 caliber handgun and a Winchester .22 caliber rifle. Dewey James was arrested on the charges on October 25, 2020.

Stevie Hackney was also given a second indictment in the same case, where he was charged separately for

  • Possession of a Handgun by a Convicted Felon, and
  • Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon; for allegedly possessing a 22 caliber caliber Cobra handgun and a. 22 caliber Winchester rifle on October 25, 2020, after having been previously convicted of a felony in Pike County, Kentucky Circuit Court.

According to the indictments of James Dewey, Mary Workman, and Stevie Hackney, they were all acting alone or in complicity with each other for allegedly possessing approximately 54.377 grams of Fentanyl, Oxycodone, & Methamphetamine; 147 dosage units of Suboxone; 428 dosage units of Gabapentin, digital scales, and $7,392 in cash, with the intent to traffic while in possession of a Cobra .22 caliber handgun and a Winchester .22 caliber rifle when they were arrested on October 25, 2020.
