Maggie Jean Williamson, 48, a resident of Athens, TN and formerly of Louisa, KY passed away on Tuesday, November 3, 2020 at UT Medical Center in Knoxville, TN.

 

She was born in Defiance, OH on March 23, 1972. Maggie was of the Baptist faith. She enjoyed and was very talented at gardening, cooking, decorating and crafting to mention a few. Maggie most important accomplishment was being a homemaker and taking care of her family.

She is preceded in death by her father Carl Adams.
Maggie leaves behind to cherish memory her loving husband of 33 years James Williamson Jr., one son Jimmy Williamson, her mother Wilma Adams, and her special friend Samuel Davis, one sister Cindy Layman of Cleveland, TN, one brother Joe Adams and his companion Andrea Bertram both of Kentucky, her father and mother-in-law James Sr. & Freda Williamson also of Kentucky, numerous other extended family members and countless special friends whom she considered family.
The family will receive friends on Thursday evening, November 5, 2020 from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM in the Athens chapel of Companion Funeral Home located at 400 S White Street in Athens, TN.
The family will also receive friends on Saturday, November 7, 2020 from 10:00 AM – 1:00 PM at the Wilson Funeral Home located at 1270 KY-2565 in Louisa, KY. A service celebrating her life will follow the visitation time at 1:00 PM with the Reverend Mike Cox and the Reverend Jim Osborn officiating.
Interment will follow in the Greasy Ridge Cemetery in Dunlow, West Virginia with family and friends serving as pallbearers.

Local arrangements and final care have been entrusted to Wilson Funeral Home.
