LAWRENCE COUNTY ARREST LIST – OCTOBER 19-24, 2016
ARRESTS WERE AT SLIGHTLY BELOW THE NORMAL WEEKLY AVERAGE IN LAWRENCE COUNTY, WHILE FOR THE SURROUNDING AREA COUNTIES, ARRESTS WERE BELOW THEIR WEEKLY AVERAGE IN THE LAST WEEK.
HOWEVER, THE BIG SANDY REGIONAL DETENTION CENTER HAS BEEN AT OVERCAPACITY IN REGARDS TO THE NUMBER OF INMATES IT HAS CURRENTLY BOOKED AT ITS FACILITY FOR MOST OF THE PAST WEEK. THE JAIL WAS DESIGNED TO HOLD 225 INMATES. IT HAS BEEN HOVERING IN THE 230 TO 235 TOTAL NUMBER AREA IN THE LAST SEVERAL DAYS.
From 12:01 A.M., October 19, 2016 to 11:59 P.M., October 24, 2016; 71 arrested individuals were brought into the Big Sandy Regional Detention Center in Paintsville, Kentucky. Out of the 71 arrested individuals brought to the Big Sandy Regional Detention Center in this last 6 day period of October 19 to 24, 9 arrests were from Lawrence County.
In the previous seven day period of October 12 thru October 18, 2016; 81 arrested individuals were brought into the Big Sandy Regional Detention Center in Paintsville, Kentucky. Out of the 81 arrested individuals brought to the Big Sandy Regional Detention Center in that seven day period of October 12 to 18, 15 arrests were from Lawrence County.
The number of people booked each day from October 19 thru October 24 at the Big Sandy Regional Detention Center in Paintsville was as the following: WEDNESDAY-OCTOBER 19: 10, THURSDAY-OCTOBER 20: 16, FRIDAY-OCTOBER 21: 15, SATURDAY-OCTOBER 22: 10, SUNDAY-OCTOBER 23: EIGHT, MONDAY-OCTOBER 24: 12.

Kayla J. Horn-Hunt, 28, of Louisa, was arrested on October 22, 2016, at 12:23 A.M., by deputy Mack Wilhite, of the Lawrence County Sheriff Department, and was charged with: • BURGLARY, 1ST DEGREE, • POSSESSION OF FIREARM BY CONVICTED FELON
Jessie Downey, 43, of Louisa, was arrested on October 19, 2016, at 4:40 A.M., by patrolman officer Hunter James, of the Louisa Police Department, and was charged with: • OPERATING MOTOR VEHICLE UNDER/INFLUENCE ALCOHOL/DRUGS/ ETC. .08 1ST OFFENSE.
Christopher E. Hall, 30, of Port Richey, Florida; was arrested on October 20, 2016, at 3:44 A.M., by deputy Dwyane Bowen of the Lawrence County Sheriff Department, and was charged with: • SERVING THREE BENCH WARRANTS FOR COURT.
B.J. T. Daniel, 32, of Blaine, Kentucky; was arrested on October 20, 2016, at 3:48 P.M., by deputy Chuck Jackson of the Lawrence County Sheriff Department, and was charged with: • THEFT BY UNLAWFUL TAKING OR DISPOSITION ALL OTHERS $500 OR MORE BUT UNDER/$10,000.
Elizabeth Phillips, 37, of Tomahawk, Kentucky; was arrested on October 21, 2016, at 12:20 A.M., by deputy Dwyane Bowen of the Lawrence County Sheriff Department, and was charged with: • OPERATING MOTOR VEHICLE UNDER/INFLUENCE ALCOHOL/DRUGS/ ETC. .08 1ST OFFENSE.
James D. Maynard, 68, of Catlettsburg, Kentucky; was arrested on October 21, 2016, at 6:02 P.M., by patrolman officer Jordan Miller, of the Louisa Police Department, and was charged with: • SERVING BENCH WARRANT FOR COURT.
Michael Jude, 52, of Fort Gay, West Virginia; was arrested on October 21, 2016, at 9:02 P.M., by patrolman officer Steven Wilburn, of the Louisa Police Department, and was charged with: • SERVING BENCH WARRANT FOR COURT.
Jessica Leshea Borders-Wallen, 30, of Louisa, was arrested on October 23, 2016, at 3:32 P.M., by deputy Mason Keefer, of the Lawrence County Sheriff Department, and was charged with: • OPERATING MOTOR VEHICLES UNDER/INFLUENCE ALCOHOL/DRUGS/ETC. .08 – 3RD OFFENSE, • CARELESS DRIVING.
Richard N. Grace, 45, of Louisa, was arrested on October 24, 2016, at 10:07 P.M., by trooper Forrest Newsome of the Kentucky State Police, and was charged with: • VIOLATION OF A KENTUCKY EPO/DVO.
