“…Good morning just wanted to let you know some friends and I will be setting a Blessing Box between my shop and Giovanni’s downtown on Tuesday, August 15 at 6:30 p.m. It’s for anybody that needs food or wants to donate non perishable food for those in need.
It’s a local effort between myself, Merida and Gene Pack and Cassie Burgess at Glitzy Boutique. Donnie at Giovannis gave us permission to put it on his property.
We can’t stand the thought of anyone being hungry and we thought this would be a great way to help those in our community that need food for themselves or their children. If children or teens are hungry they can take what they need to. It’s a shame in this day that anybody should be without the food they need.
Ken and Stephanie Akers from For Cakes Sake and Rebel Outfitters of Fort Gay have issued a challenge to local schools. Classes can collect canned good and non perishable items. The class that collects the most gets a free pizza party sponsored by them.
