Louisa Rotary get ‘muskie’ lessonRotary Feb. 16 2017: Matt Blackburn, along with his father Greg Blackburn who own Crash's Landing in Morehead Kentucky at Cave Run Lake came to speak about their business

Rotary met for their weekly meeting on Thursday, February 16th. After the prayer, Pledge of Allegiance and reciting the Four Way Test, several anniversaries were then recognized.

Sherry Compton, Sheila Kensinger and Bonnie Conn all had anniversaries over Valentines Day weekend.

President Lindsey Case spoke about wanting to help the State Champions, the Lawrence County High School Bass team with a donation for an upcoming fundraiser. Jason Lycans made the motion to donate $100.00 for four gift cards, and Sherry Compton seconded the motion. Going along with the fishing theme, the guest speaker was then announced.

They provide you with the latest information, techniques and equipment for fishing at Kentucky’s famous Cave Run Lake. They provided many pictures and a display to show the Muskie they caught and also stated that they have a Muskie hatchery at Cave Run.

Matt Blackburn, along with his father Greg Blackburn who own Crash’s Landing in Morehead Kentucky at Cave Run Lake came to speak about their business and even gave some pointers on how to catch Muskie. They spoke about their guided tours and welcomes anyone to visit.

With that, the meeting was adjourned for the week.
