October 29, 2021 – Louisa Police Department welcomes its newest officer Jeffrey Chase Kirk.  Patrolman Kirk comes to the police department after serving as a deputy sheriff here in Lawrence County where he was the 2020 recipient of the Governors Impaired Driving Award.

During his tenure as deputy, Kirk led the agency in felony cases and arrests.

“Chase will be a valuable asset to the city and has already shown great efforts in making Louisa a better place to live,” stated Chief Greg Fugitt.

Kirk completes the LPD roster making the department seven officers strong. Ptl. Kirk and his wife Ally reside in Louisa.

    officer Jeffrey Chase Kirk likely saw the writing on the wall at the SO. He knew he had a little over a year left. Very smart move I would say.
