Best wishes to LPD Explorer Captain Zach Wright on his graduation tonight. Zach received the “Community Service Excellence Award” presented to him by Ptl. Teddy Newsome and Ptl. Greg Powers (shown above with Zach).

“We want to thank Zach for all his hard work in starting the explorer program and maintaining high standards for all the explorers.” Stated Chief Fugitt.

After graduation Zach wants to continue working towards his goal of one day working for either LPD or KSP and later becoming sheriff of Lawrence County. Zach is the son of Martin and Michelle Wright. Congrats unit #851 !!!

Chief Greg Fugitt
Louisa Police Department

Zach thanks local police

“First, I would like to thank Chief Greg A. Fugitt for believing in me when I first approached him about starting the Explorer Program.

Second, I would like to thank the officers of Louisa Police Department for the friendship and advice they have given me for the past four years, you guys are brothers to me. I have some great memories patrolling the streets with you guys! Can’t wait to work with you all as a Patrolman.

To the Explorers, you all are great friends that I know I can always count on. Thank you for volunteering your time to better the Explorer Program. Thank you all!  Unit 851.”
