West Liberty, Ky. — The Louisa Middle Girls basketball team will play for the OVC Tournament championship after a 37-16 victory over Morgan Co. on Tuesday in the semifinals.

Anna Allen, Jenna Murphy, Leah Muncy, Lauren Sammons, Abby Howard, AB Hayes, Gracie Woods, Sidney Ash, Kaylee Spillman, Brinley Baisden, Hope Messer

Jenna Murphy hit 3 three pointers and finished with 11 points, Leah Muncy tallied 10 points, Gracie Woods added 6 points, Kaylee Spillman and Lauren Sammons had 4 points each and AB Hayes chipped in with 2 points.

The Bulldogs will play Raceland at 7:15 at Morgan Co. middle school tonight.

LMS Head Coach Anna Allen

COACH’S COMMENTS

“… The girls came out ready from the start and had something to prove. Morgan County beat us twice this year and I told them it’s hard to beat a team three times. We were pretty dominant from the start and able to maintain the lead throughout the whole game. I’m proud of their fight and resilience. Thursday is the championship game and that’s been our whole goal all season to make it and win it. So hopefully we will be coming home as OVC champions!!”
