LOUISA MIDDLE OFF TO A SIZZLING START TO GIRLS BASKETBALL SEASON

Louisa, Ky. — After a strong summer the Louisa Middle Lady Dawgs have continued to play well as they are off to a perfect 10-0 record in 7th and 8th Grade to start the 2017 middle school basketball season.

The Bulldogs have wins over Pikeville, Fairview, Raceland, Wurtland and Lewis Co. With the hot start LMS is leading the Ohio Valley Conference so far.

8th Grade is 5-0 to start the 2017 season.

LMS 33 Pikeville 29 ( 8th grade )

The Bulldogs went on the road the first game of the year and defeated the Panthers to get a good road win. Kyleah Ward led the way with 12 points, Bailee Hinkle 9 points, Brooke Neal 7 points, Whitney Moore and Kensley Feltner had 2 points each, Holly Jordan chipped in with 1 point.

LMS 38 Fairview 14 ( 8th )

The Bulldogs made quick work of the Lady Eagles to get another road victory. Eleven different girls cracked the scoring column in this one as Kensley Feltner led the way 10 points, Bailee Hinkle had 9 points, Brooke Neal and Kyleah Ward had 7 points each, Emmalee Holt and Whitney Moore had 4 points each, Holly Jordan, Maggie Johnson, Olivia Browning, Kaison Ward, and Emersyn Elliott had 2 points each.

LMS 37 Lewis Co. 34 ( 8th )

The Bulldogs captured a close road victory over the Lady Lions in Vanceburg as Brooke Neal poured in 19 points to the lead the way, Kensley Feltner also hit double figures with 10 points, Bailee Hinkle scored 5 points, Kyleah Ward had 2 points and Holly Jordan scored 1 point.

LMS 36 Raceland 7 ( 8th )

The Bulldogs finally played a home game and boy they didn’t disappoint the crowd as they scorched the nets to remain undefeated. Brooke Neal finished with 10 points to lead the way, Kyleah Ward had 9 points, Kensley Feltner 7 points, Emmalee Holt 4 points, Bailee Hinkle, Kaison Ward and Emersyn Elliott had 2 points each.

LMS 46 Wurtland 6 ( 8th )

The Bulldogs came away with another lopsided victory at home as Kensley Feltner had a monster game with 23 points to lead the way, Brooke Neal had 6 points, Maggie Johnson 5 points, Kyleah Ward, Olivia Browning and Whitney Moore had 4 points each.

7th Grade is also 5-0 to start the season.
