LOUISA MIDDLE DAWGS SWEEP WURTLAND ON 8TH GRADE NIGHT

Louisa, Ky. — It was 8th Grade night at Louisa Middle School as the Dawgs made quick work of Wurtland 45-22. All nine 8th Graders played and scored in the lopsided win over the Wildcats in front of a great crowd at Louisa Middle on Thursday night.

Andrew Tackett was high scorer for the Dawgs in the 8th Grade game with 15 points, Baden Gillispie tallied 7 points, Danny Hall had 6 points, Joe Schmidt chipped in with 4 points, Brock Kessinger hit a three pointer, Trey Brumfield, Mark Webb, Kyle Davis and Jacob Savage had 2 points each. 7th Grader Bryce Blevins also scored 2 points.

Louisa 40 Wurtland 29 ( 7th )

Bryce Blevins scored 15 points to pace the Dawgs in a home victory. Brody Diamond and Adam Scaggs with 6 points each, Parker Preece and Mason Preston tallied 4 points each, Zach Holt chipped in with 2 points and SJ Lycans hit a free throw.

Louisa 28 Wurtland 22 ( 6th )

Jake Derifield had 9 points to lead the Dawgs to victory. Lawson Baisden tallied 8 points, Dylan Ferguson had 6 points, Ethan Burgess chipped in with 4 points, Ford Scaggs hit a free throw to round out the scoring for Louisa.

Louisa will finish up regular season play on the road at McKell on Monday and Fairview on Thursday before starting OVC tournament play on Saturday at Ashland Middle School.
