Pickup wreck on Rt. 32 claims life of popular Louisa resident

LOUISA, Ky. — A member of a well known Lawrence County family lost his life in a one vehicle wreck about two miles from Louisa on Rt. 32 Wednesday morning.

Jason Daniels, 35, (inset photo) died in a one vehicle accident this morning about two miles from Louisa on Rt. 32 toward Blaine.

Jason Daniels, 34, ran off the road in his late model pickup truck and was pronounced dead at the scene by Lawrence County Deputy Coroner Chris Wilson at 10:17am. Wilson said his investigation is continuing but he cannot release any additional information until later today.

According to witnesses at the scene there were no skid marks or brake residue on the road where Daniels’ vehicle veered into a culvert. Daniels, the father of two children was ejected from the vehicle and was not wearing a seatbelt.

Daniels' body was discovered several feet from the vehicle in this morning's accident.

An official police report is forthcoming by the Lawrence County Sheriff’s Dept. with further details about the tragic accident. The Lazer will issue a report as soon as the information is available.
