LAWRENCE COUNTY GRAND JURY ISSUES FIVE NEW INDICTMENTS

LOUISA, Ky. — Lawrence County Grand Jury handed down 5 indictments Thursday, January 13.  Several charges ranging from drug trafficking, pharmacy robbery and rape were some of those handed down.  Johnny D. King was charged with rap of a minor and unlawful transaction with a minor in the second degree.

 

 

Commonwealth vs. Jeremy Burris

 

The Grand Jury charges that on or before April 27, 2021 in Lawrence Co, Ky the above named defendant:

 

1. Jeremy Burris committed the offense of robbery in the first degree by knowingly and unlawfully while in the course of committing the theft of controlled substances from Walgreens of Louisa, Ky, used or threatened the immediate use of physical force upon Patty Thompson and Joyce Burchett, who were employees of Walgreens, in an attempt to accomplish the theft while armed with a deadly weapon or dangerous instrument.

2. Jeremy Burris, having been charged in the instant indictment with the above stated felony count(s) is now being charged as a persistent felony offender in the first degree.

 

Commonwealth vs. John D. King
The Grand Jury charges that on or before September 3, 2020 in Lawrence Co, Ky the above named defendant:

 

1. John D. King committed the offense of rape in the first degree by knowingly and unlawfully engaging in sexual intercourse with a minor, when said minor was incapable of consent because she was physically helpless at the time thereof.

2. John D. King committed the offense of unlawful transaction with a minor in the second degree by knowingly and unlawfully inducing, assisting and/or causing a minor to engage in illegal controlled substances activity involving Marijunana.

 

Commonwealth vs. Shane Case 
The Grand Jury charges that on or before November 7, 2021 in Lawrence Co, Ky the above named defendant:

 

1. Shane Case committed the offense of criminal possession of forged instrument in the second degree by knowingly and unlawfully with intent to defraud, deceive or injure another, utters or possesses a fraudulent or forged $100 bill and passed the fraudulent or forged bill at D and J Tobacco of Louisa, Ky.

 

Commonwealth vs. Kenneth Fitch
The Grand Jury charges that on or before December 31, 2021 in Lawrence Co, Ky the above named defendant:

 

1. Kenneth Fitch committed the offense of trafficking in a controlled substance in the first degree by knowingly and unlawfully trafficking in Methamphetamine.

2. Kenneth Fitch, having been charged in the instant indictment with the above stated felony count(s) is now being charged as a persistent felony offender in the second degree.

 

Commonwealth vs. Roscoe Muncy 
The Grand Jury charges that on or before November 30, 2021 in Lawrence Co, Ky the above named defendant:

 

1. Roscoe Muncy committed the offense of possession of a controlled substance in the first degree by knowingly and unlawfully being in possession of a controlled substance, Methamphetamine.

2. Roscoe Muncy committed the offense of possession of drug paraphernalia by knowingly and unlawfully being in possession of a syringe.
