‘A Walk Through the Enchanted Forest’

On May 15th and 16th the bright young students from Louisa East Elementary performed the play ‘A Walk Through the Enchanted Forest’. There is a play performed annually at LES to show off the talent and creativity of each individual student. This wonderful production was put on with the help of directors Melissa Dotson, Sherita Akers, and Andrea Riffe, and sound technician Rowena Borders.

This was no ordinary play. The story line contained scenes from all of the classic fairy tales, such as; Cinderella, Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, The Three Little Pigs, Hansel and Gretel, and Little Red Riding Hood. Each separate sequence had its own touch of humor. One of the many lessons taught throughout the play is also one of the behavioral expectations for students district wide, “Be Respectful, Responsible and Ready”.

They also had several students participate in a recorder and dulcimer concert.
