LOUISA EAST ELEMENTARY CAPS OFF INAUGURAL SEASON WITH THREE CHAMPIONSHIPS

Paintsville, Ky. — It was a clean sweep for Louisa East as they won all three championships in the first ever East Kentucky Elementary Basketball Conference tournaments at Paintsville High school. 

Louisa East A Team 

L to R Cash Curnutte, Lincoln Parsley, Case Cramer, Koltyn Thompson, Mikey Artrip, Max Murriell, Carson Castle, Gaige Muncy, Keagan Muncy, Brother Fitzpatrick

Coaches L to R Head Coach Baden Gillispie, Jeremy Block, Jordan Raines, Matt Fitzpatrick

In the Championship game on Saturday morning the Bulldogs beat Paintsville 28-11. 

Mikey Artrip led the Dawgs with 11 points, Carson Castle and Kolt Thompson 5 points each, Cash Curnutte added 3 points, Lincoln Parsley and Max Murriell had 2 points each, Brother Fitzpatrick had 1 point. 

In the Semis on Tuesday Louisa East beat Inez 50-4. 

Carson Castle led the Bulldogs with 11 points, Brother Fitzpatrick and Cash Curnutte had 10 points each, Gaige Muncy tallied 7 points, Max Murriell added 6 points, Kolt Thompson 4 points and Mikey Artrip 2 points. 

In the first round on Monday the Dawgs beat Eden 33-17. 

Mikey Artrip led the victors with 18 points, Carson Castle tallied 6 points, Kolt Thompson added 4 points, Brother Fitzpatrick netted 3 points, Case Cramer chipped in with 2 points. 

The A team went 17-2 overall and 12-0 in conference play. 

Louisa East B Team

In the Championship game Saturday the Dawgs beat Warfield 21-13. 

Lincoln Parsley had 8 points to lead the Dawgs, Brother Fitzpatrick added 6 points, Keagan Muncy tallied 5 points, Lucas Osborn chipped in with 2 points. 

On Thursday in the semis the Bulldogs beat host Paintsville 29-8. 

Brother Fitzpatrick had 13 points to led the Dawgs, Lucas Osborn tallied 6 points, Keagan Muncy 4 points, Lincoln Parsley, Noah Patton and Tucker Muncy had 2 points each. 

On Wednesday in the first round the Bulldogs beat Eden 34-11. 

Brother Fitzpatrick led the way with 14 points, Noah Patton and Lucas Block had 4 points each, Keagan Muncy and Lincoln Parsley had 3 points each, Dane Kitts, Lucas Osborn and Tucker Muncy had 2 points each. 

The B team went 16-3 overall and 12-0 in Conference play. 

Louisa East C Team

In the Championship game on Saturday afternoon the Dawgs took care of Inez 32-5.

Lucas Block led the Dawgs with 8 points, Tucker Dixon, Foster Cline and Gavin Perry had 6 points each, Ashby Lyons tallied 4 points,  Tucker Muncy chipped in with 2 points. 

In the semifinals on Saturday the Dawgs beat Paintsville 29-4. 

Lucas Block, Ashby Lyons and Gavin Perry had 6 points each to lead the Bulldogs, Foster Cline and Brayson Raines 4 points each, Tucker Muncy chipped in with 3 points. 

On Friday in the first round Louisa East beat Warfield 25-0. 

Ashby Lyons had 10 points to lead the Bulldogs, Gavin Perry tallied 7 points, Tucker Muncy added 4 points, Lucas Block and Brayson Raines had 2 points each. 

The C team went 18-1 overall and 10-0 in Conference play.
