Louisa Chapter DAR National Defense Chair, Theresa Chaffin, organized the Veterans Day event that was held in the lobby of the old courthouse on Friday November 9, 2018 from 11:00 am – 2:00 pm. Many Veterans stopped by and enjoyed the food, desserts, coffee, and good fellowship.

    The DAR (Daughters of the American Revolution) do many good deeds for the veterans of our county and others. If you would like to join us, please contact Sabrina May or Reba Whitt. Sabrina is our Regent and Reba is our Registraer. There is a DAR office in the Court House cenwhich is open every Thursday from 9 am to 4 pm. To join, you must provide descendacy from a Revoluntionary War Soldier to you. Reba would be glad to work with you on how to do this and assist you if you would like to be a member!
