ORDINANCE NO. 2020-03

COMPENSATION OF CITY EMPLOYEES

PURSUANT TO KRS 83A.070

 

WHEREAS, KRS 83A.070 requires a city to fix compensation of city employees in accordance with a personnel and pay classification plan adopted by ordinance;

WHEREAS, the City Council has determined to reorganize the pay classification for the City;

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF LOUISA, KENTUCKY:

SECTION I

The following pay classifications effective July 1, 2020 through June 30, 2021, is set for the Mayor and Louisa City Council:

MAYOR [$51,925.06 ANNUALLY – $52,028.89 ANNUALLY]

[to be adjusted per Ordinance

2004-03A commencing January 1, 2020]

PLUS STATE INCENTIVE PAY

CITY COUNCIL MEMBERS $1,200.00 ANNUALLY

PLUS STATE INCENTIVE PAY

SECTION II

That the following pay classifications effective July 1, 2020 through June 30, 2021, [unless otherwise noted], are set out for the following City employees:

CITY CLERK$14.00 – $22.50 AN HOUR

ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANTS$9.00 – $14.75 PER HOUR

POLICE CHIEF$14.00 – $22.50 PER HOUR

[PLUS STATE INCENTIVE PAY]

POLICE SERGEANT$12.50 – $18.00 PER HOUR

[PLUS STATE INCENTIVE PAY]

DETECTIVE$12.00 – $16.00 PER HOUR

[PLUS STATE INCENTIVE PAY]

PATROLMAN$11.00 – $14.62 PER HOUR

[PLUS STATE INCENTIVE PAY]

SCHOOL RESOURCE OFFICER $13.00 – $16.00 PER HOUR

[PLUS STATE INCENTIVE PAY]

SUPERVISOR$12.00 – $15.00 PER HOUR

MECHANIC$11.00 – $14.00 PER HOUR

LABORER$9.00 – $12.50 PER HOUR

CERTIFIED DRIVER$11.00 – $14.00 PER HOUR

ABC ADMIN CODE ENFORCEMENT $14.00 – $22.50 PER HOUR

SECTION III

That the following pay classifications effective July 1, 2020 through June 30, 2021, is set for the City Attorney:

CITY ATTORNEY$500.00 – $750.00 PER MONTH

THE FISCAL YEAR (JULY 1, 2020 THROUGH JUNE 30, 2021)

A BUDGET PREPARED BY ESTIMATING

REVENUES AND RESOURCES AND

APPROPRIATING FUNDS FOR THE

OPERATION OF CITY GOVERNMENT

WHEREAS, an annual budget proposal and message has been prepared and delivered to the City Council of the City of Louisa, Kentucky; and

WHEREAS, the City Council has reviewed such budget proposal and made necessary modifications;

PURSUANT TO KRS 83A.070

WHEREAS, KRS 83A.070 requires a city to fix compensation of the Louisa Utilities Board employees in accordance with a personnel and pay classification plan adopted by ordinance; and

WHEREAS, the Louisa Utilities Board has been reorganized in order to function more efficiently; and

WHEREAS, the pay scales hereinafter set forth reflect the various positions in the newly reorganized Louisa Utilities Board to more accurately reflect positions and various range of salaries;

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF LOUISA, KENTUCKY:
