Millcreek Township police said a man charged in early June with robbing a bank in Kentucky identified himself as a robbery suspect of a township pharmacy.

The man said he did not remember the robbery, but identified himself as the suspect when police showed him a surveillance video image from the June 21 robbery try, according to information in his criminal complaint.

Millcreek police have issued an arrest warrant for 33-year-old Seth G. Frank, address unknown, on felony robbery and misdemeanor assault and attempted theft charges in the June 21 incident at a pharmacy on Interchange Road in Millcreek Township.

Police accuse Frank of being the person who entered the pharmacy and told an employee to give him all of the pharmacy’s Adderall, a drug used to treat attention deficit hyperactivity disorder, and Subutex, a medication used in the treatment of opioid dependence.

Investigators said the suspect stuck out his arm at the employee while holding an object as if he were pointing a gun. The suspect then fled the pharmacy without getting any of the medication he asked for, and he drove away in a gold, older-model sedan, Millcreek police reported after the robbery attempt.

Kentucky and Ohio bank robberies, as well

Investigators wrote in Frank’s criminal complaint that after Millcreek police released information on the robbery and surveillance video images of the suspect, they received an anonymous tip that identified Frank as the suspect. The person who submitted the tip also stated that Frank was involved in a bank robbery in Louisa, Kentucky, according to the complaint.

Investigators said Thursday that they confirmed the information about the bank robbery with police in Louisa — which is east of Lexington near the West Virginia border — and learned that Frank was picked up on the bank robbery warrant in Ashtabula County, Ohio.

Frank is accused in the bank robbery case of robbing a Citizens Bank of Kentucky branch in Louisa on June 10, according to a June 11 online story posted on the website of television station WYMT in Kentucky.

Millcreek police detectives traveled to Ashtabula County and spoke to Frank on June 22, according to information in the complaint. Investigators wrote that Frank stated he was high on methamphetamine and did not remember anything, but admitted to driving a gold Hyundai Elantra and identified himself as the person captured on surveillance video from the pharmacy on the day of the robbery attempt.

Investigators said Thursday that Frank was extradited back to Kentucky from Ohio late last week in the robbery case but was released on bond. His whereabouts were unknown Thursday, according to detectives.
