Loretta Lewis Hay, 80, of Louisa, Kentucky, passed away peacefully on Thursday, December 29, 2022 at her home.

Born June 11, 1942, in Elliott County, Kentucky, she was the daughter of the late Clyde and Cleffie (Moore) Lewis.

She is survived by her husband of 62 years, John Franklin Hay; two children John Franklin Hay, Jr. and wife Carla of Lexington, Kentucky, and Cynthia Hay Michael and her husband, David, of Louisa, Kentucky; a sister Lorene Lewis Blythe (Buck) of Lancaster, Ohio, a brother Curtis Lewis (Gail) of Reynoldsburg, Ohio, and a brother-in-law, Kenny Bussert of Springfield, Ohio.

Her sister, Wanda Lewis Bussert of Springfield, Ohio, preceded her in death.

Grandchildren include David, Lewis, Sarah, Shelby, Sheree, Rene, Tessa, and Scott. Great-grandchildren include Silas, Loxley, Soren, Grady, Boston, Rowan, Reagan, Johnny, and Adalyne.

Loretta loved her grandchildren and great-grandchildren more than anything. She was known as Grandma and Old Granny. Over the years she enjoyed crocheting, cooking, and babysitting all of her grandchildren. She liked her iPad and was a Facebook fan.

Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, January 4, 2023 at 1:00 PM in the Young Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in Riverview Memorial Gardens. Friends may visit the family on Wednesday, January 4, 2023 from 11:00 AM until time of service in the Young Funeral Home Chapel.

Young Funeral Home has been entrusted with the care of Mrs. Hay and her family.
